We had a thought hooking up a frontend with a mysql database for a
implementation of mud. :)
Didn't work out though.. too lazy :)

Well, if you have not started, I've done it. I am writing a MUD
engine that stores everything in database to maintain a persistent
world.
I'm currently only releasing it in CVS to our wiz group, but soon
will release to public in GPL.
