way old and incorrect news... actually DB2 is often boundled with
its AS/400 hardware and that does not necessiarly mean users are
actully using DBS; and the DB2 license revenue in the following report
is more like maintaince fee for the whole system
(including the hardware). Anyway IDC already corrected IBM's
misleading report and it was news a year ago.
Oracle is undisputably No. 1 in overall DB server market.
IBM has been and always will be a hardware company :)
