各系统的default format不会相同
但一般都属于标准格式, 所以互相都认识的
mm/dd/yyyy or yyyy/mm/dd
or yyyy-mm-dd.... etc

thx. I actually looked it up in the manual before posting, it's wierd that I
cannot insert a record as I suppose to.
Now I found the problem, the original data type is defined as text in the
table.
