Through further advancement and feedback, Service Pack 1 also provides over
70 improvements for common development scenarios including:
* New processor support (e.g., Core Duo) for code generation and
profiling
* Performance and scale improvements in Team Foundation Server
* Team Foundation Server integration with Excel 2007 and Project 2007
* Tool support for occasionally connected devices and SQL Server Compact
Edition
* Additional support for project file based Web applica

Is there a big difference between VS2005 and the express editions? I am
using the express editions because I cannot afford VS 2005 Professional.

You can't install web application project in express editions before, don't
know if it's changed or not.

edition?

What I mean is what that call 'project file based Web applications' in the
sp1 now.
This is backward compatible project type the asp.net team introduced as a
remedy for the web site project and became much popular(maybe) than the
orignal web site project. And as I remember, express edition just can't
allow you to add any new templates like the 'project file based web
applications' and the web deployment project they introduced after the
product is shipped. I don't know if the SP1 can be install
