hope credit是给钱,但这个american life time credit是算作减免税,还是额外给钱
?怎么感觉添没填对最后的退税都没影响?(税已经能够全部退回的)

few minutes later, asking what she can do to assist the GreenCard
application.
Now, what should I say? I thought she knew she should contact the lawyer....

That's what I worry about. If I don't say anything, they will use the lawyer
who did my H1-B application.

God, my boss just emailed me that our legal department recommends the
current lawyer... and she said she knew I might not be happy...
What should I say?

tell them if the lawyer is not good, company will have difficulty get PERM
certified, then may heve to re-do it and cost more. my lesson: when HR asked
me did I have my own lawyer I said no then he used the company noramlly
used one. the results: screwed up my PERM and I-140 so I missed 2007 大放水
。I get another (chinese) lawyer, company re-do it and worked. but many
people started PERM as I already get GC. I am still waiting..... although
the chinese lawyer still not that good but better than a company lawyer.
tell HR you will pay for the difference of price.

This lawyer has more than 20 years immigration law experience. she served as
Chair of some law association and she is some editor of some magazine. She
has a lot of titles and is involved in many actitivites, I don't know if it'
s a good thing or not...

I remember when she did my H1-B thing, I sent her some emails and she said
if I asked more quesitons, she had to charge the time.
I'm wondering if Chiense lawyer would be nicer with this regard.
Anybody knows?

You can tell your boss about that incident. Don't say something like you don't like him. You can say "sure I understand he has a very strong background and a lot of credentials, but I have some concerns about his customer service attitude. In my opinion, this is very important too".
If they insist in using him quoting company policy, you'll have to go with that. Depending on how employee-friendly your HR is, you can always tell HR if you receive unprofessional service from the lawyer. I once got some attitude from the company designated lawyer, I went through HR and the problem was taken care of.

找出来了当年的job description。
Qualification 里这么写了一句:Qualifications include appropriate work
experience and /or educational degree...
没有对degree进行具体要求。 我不知道如果告诉律师,我想申eb2,她愿不愿意叫我们
人事部打广告的时候加上“要master”这类的话,会不会她坚持用以前的广告,然后把
我化到eb3里了呢?怎么办啊,老板今天问我律师的事,我还没有回她呢? 我没有说用
现在的律师,也没有说不用...但是明天至少要给她一个交待吧...

It again depends on how employee-friendly your HR is and how gelivable your
direct supervisor is.

I do not agree with your guys.
it is very important that the attorney to have a good relationship with HR.
if HR is happy with one attorney, they may not want to work with a
strangers.
if HR is not happy, everything is going to be slow. Be careful if you
are not using company's attorney.
It is important is that the attorney can get your PERM done, that is it.
as long as company pays, you do not want to care about the charge. My
previous compamny's attorney is a nightmare, but I got PERM/I-140
successfully. My current company's attorney is easy to work with, and get
everything done very neat and clean. and I get a copy of everything after
each filing.
I do not really recommend a Chinese attorney, they have difficulty to work
with HR. My suggestion is that using company's attorney unless you have
very strong reason not to.

Thanks a lot!
So today, I think I will email the attorney and ask her how she will handle
my case. My primary concern is EB 2 or EB3. I really worry about that she
strictly follow the job description posted a few years when I started. It
did not require master degree or 5 years work experience. (Well, I heard EB2
's requirement is master degree or 5 years work experience. )
Do you have any suggestions for what I'm gonna do today? Thanks!
