06/22/2011: Democrat Senators Reintroduces Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Bill in the Senate
Senator Menendez, cosponsored by six other Democratic leaders of Harry Reid
(D-NV), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Dick Durbin (D-IL), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), John
Kerry (D-MA) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) reintroduced the Comprehensive I
mmigration Reform bill today in the Senate. As soon as the full text of the
bill is made available, we will report it. The report indicates that the bil
l intends to balance between border security/immigration enforcement and leg
alization of undocumented aliens and othere legal immigration system reform.
Time-wise, it may be too late and untimely considering the struggling unempl
oyment rate and economy and approaching 2012 Presidential election campaign
season, but we will wait and see.
