终于结束为期两个月的negotiation，一年多以后开始从AP慢慢爬起。系里耐心真是很
好啊，还满心怀感激的！
关于入职前有几个问题想请问版上各位大牛：
1.是否可以提早以该学校未来AP身份招兵买马，在list serve上贴广告？
2.我还申请了K99/R00，秋天才有消息，万一幸运地拿到的话，已经签约学校这件事会
不会让资金打水漂？我其实会在现在博后的位置继续做到2017年夏天。
3.是否可以提前购置一些设备（因为会涨价）和教材（因为要备课）？

没有ssn 去年申请了一张boa secured card
昨天把把boa secured card转成了fia amex
今天收到卡了但是突然发现没法用信用卡去中国店买菜了
所以说求推荐一张visa/master信用卡最好没有ssn也能申请的

Some interesting findings:
(1) In general, PERM applicants are NOT “the best and the brightest.”
(2) EE engineers (hardware) are in a slightly better situation, especially
in the "fully competent" category (level IV, the highest).
(3) Canada and the UK -- not the Asian countries -- that have the greater
tendency to send us “the best and the brightest.”

1. yes
2. I have heard before that it is better to stay in the place for at least
one year if you get the K99.
3. yes for our school. The start-up has been budgeted before the search. I
started lab renovation and equipment purchase after signing the offer. There
might be issue with the end of fiscal year. Just need to contact your
department to make sure you can do it.
