08/27/2014: Calm Continues Before a Thunderstorm, to the Level of Eerie and
Brutal!
At this juncture, reportedly he is facing a problem from his own party,
Democratic Party, relating to the impact of expansion of relief of
undocumented immigrants using his pen because his executive action will help
the Democratic Party to win in the Presidential Election in 2016 but will
hurt his party in the mid-term national elections for the Congress in
November 2014. As we explained a year back, this happens because of
difference of jurisiction of the voters between the Presidential election
and the Congressional elections. In the Presidential elections, votes are
counted at the national level, while in Congressional elections, votes are
counted at the small Congressional district levels or state levels. For the
reasons, the impact of the Hispanic voters and independent voters are very
limited in the Congressional elections unlike the Presidential elections.
Currently, the President Obama is facing this challenging issue. He cannot
afford losing the two chambers of federal legislature to the Republican
party after November 2014 election, and at the same time, his party cannot
afford turning the White House over to the Republican party after the 2016
Presidential election because of the angry Hispanics, progressive and
independent voters for his alleged betrayal. Personally, no stakes are
involved for himself since 2016 is his last year of his last Presidency. But
because of the foregoing dilemma, he will have to act in one way or another
for his party and SOON!
