Sorry for typing in English...
I am currently a post-doc and I had an onsite interview at 1/24.
I thought the interview went well and the HM told me the decision should be
made in two weeks.
1/30 the HM emailed me for my reference list (I provided 3 referees).
2/1 My first referee (My PhD advisor) was contacted.
But after that I heard nothing form them.
2/6 I emailed the HM to ask for the decision and he replied the next day
telling me they had delay and may need another 2-3 weeks for the decision.
2/8 My current supervisor was contacted.
This is a big company and I know maybe the process could be easily delayed.
Plus it is a good sign that 2 of 3 referees were contacted soon.
However, I still think it takes too long for me to know the final decision,
right?
I guess this could be two possibilities:
(1)I am not their number one candidate, and they put me in the waiting list.
(2)They tend to hire me, but the company is too big so everything processes
slower.
Anyone knows what may happen now? Thanks.
