DOS has reached the limit for EB China 2nd preference, so no new EB China
2nd visas will be allocated by DOS for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2015.
No other EB categories are impacted at this time and China 2nd is
anticipated to resume October 1, 2015 with FY 2016. Their case will undergo
routine adjudication and be completed when all security checks are completed
and a visa is available.
USCIS HQ-SCOPS directs the Service Centers to adhere to orderly FIFO (“
first in, first out”) processing. This means that visa-available pending
applications will not be expedited or pulled out of order because doing so
gives an unfair advantage to newer cases by depriving older ones of a visa.
