EB-1 China and India. Due to the brief retrogression for India and China at
the end of FY 2016, it is anticipated that there will be high usage in these
categories in October. These categories should still remain current for the
foreseeable future.
EB-2 Worldwide. There is also pent up demand in EB-2 Worldwide due to the
retrogression, therefore visa usage is expected to be high in October. It
should remain current during at least the first half of the fiscal year.
EB-2 and EB-3 China. The EB-3 downgrade phenomenon should once again be
expected for the year. The potential demand for visa numbers in this
category at USCIS is still not visible to DOS. Because of this, the final
action dates were not advanced to the full number use target. The purpose of
this is to hopefully minimize the need for corrective action later in the
fiscal year.
