Job description
- Design and implement embedded software for Marvell’s advanced flash
memory controller
- Participate in ground-breaking advanced SSD storage development project,
design and development
of high performance firmware and software for cutting-edge enterprise and
SSD products
- Debug, optimize, and validate SSD firmware on embedded architectures;
Develop firmware to
evaluate Soc and bring up board
- Debug and troubleshooting embedded system related issues
- Interact with key groups on NAND controller design issues and usage
requirements
- Support customer qualification and adopting of SSD products, resolve
issues, and provide
workarounds
- Develop software tools to assist debug
Qualifications
- MS degree in EE/CS with minimum 2 year of firmware experience in data
storage devices
- Strong embedded C programming with a basic understanding of assembly code
- Familiar with ARM architecture, and development/debug environment
- Understanding of RTOS concepts and issues
- Solid knowledge of DMA, interrupt, I2C, SPI, Serial communication, etc
- Prior knowledge of storage related protocols like ATA, SCSI, SATA, SAS,
eMMC, etc. - Familiar
with logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, ICE, oscilloscope and similar tools
that are commonly used
to debug embedded software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills applied in a team
environment
- Experience with both Single and Multi layer cell NAND memories will be a
plus
