communication capacity: P. R. Kumar is an expert, you may want to look at his
homepage. But you need good background on information theory.
sensing performance: detection, tracking performance limit, you may need
signal processing background.
networking performance analysis: connectivity, sensor deployment, routing,
lifetime performance. You need good background on graph theory.
Infocom, Mobicom and Mobihoc are good conferences to look for those kind of
papers.
