hi,
小弟是业余给实验室维护仪器的，最近向把frequency synthesizer 的信号通过
divider分成两股，接到两台一千瓦的功放中，最后用combiner产生两千瓦的高能信号
。我搜索了一下诸如minicircuit, newark之类常用的网站，他们都没有可以承受那么
高能量的器件，不知道有谁能推荐几家可信的公司。

if your power amps have enough current capability, run the two amps in a btl
fashion (180" out of phase). you then cannot ground the load.
Of course, if the amps are already BTL, that solution is out of question.
it will be hard to be able to parrellel two powerful amps.

I do not know what your application is. But here is one web site for high

btw, why not using a 2kw PA directly?

多谢指教。
BTL 连接是个好主意，但我们的load是一个公司买来的射频信号发生器。用N-type
connector input, 似乎它必须被ground. 不知道有没有什么外部连接方式，能实现
balanced voltage input into the load.
那个网站上我也看了一下，但是我需要的频率是10-110 MHz, 好像他们没有这个频率范
围内的。我们因为根据现在有的仪器设备，想看看两台1kw 的功放能不能产生2 kW的
输出。

you are going to drive 2kw into a rf sig generator? what kind of sig
generator is that?

in general, you will never get 2x of the power from paralleling 2 amps.
there will always be some losses in there (you are likely to use two load
balancing resistors for example).

I am going to use a frequency synthesizer to drive the amplifier. Thanks
for your suggestions. I will try to see whether I can get a 2 Kw amp
directly. This will save me a lot of trouble.
