Oh, boy.... If u are strongly interested in theoretical mathematics, it's a
good choice..... Otherwise avoid it by all means... I mean, invisible cloak.
...it's only a beautiful story in academia. If u search around all the
groups focusing on metamaterial based cloak, only Duke has bulit a "
Microwave cloak", which is still a long way from any practical use.

just avoid that, I know a guy in psu does that stuff.

it is based on transform optics...just fancy mathematics without any

optical tranformation理论已经做透,而cloak的实用遥不可及。
现在能做实验的也就是duke的david smith了,但是也仅是在单一微波频率(10G左右)
,做一个还看得过去的现象。没有实用价值。 在可预见的未来也很难看到它在实用领
域突破的可能性。

well, there are application on metamaterial. however, not really on cloak.
there already are some companies running their business on metamaterial. jus
t google it.
optical tranformation理论已经做透,而cloak的实用遥不可及。
