- Strong analytical skills
- 3+ years industrial experience preferred.
- Strong background in combustion, heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid
mechanics
- Highly desired: low emission combustion development
- 3+ year full time CFD simulation experience with hands-on meshing and post
-processing skills.
- Experience utilizing high performance computing resources
- Experience in testing or simulation of liquid fueled combustion systems
- Application of high fidelity simulations
- Strong background in high pressure thermodynamics and combustion
2. Performance Engineer (Aero/Thermo Engineer) with CFD background:
Key words: gas turbine, micro turbine, cycle design and analysis, CFD,
power systems, thermodynamics - Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical
engineering or a related engineering discipline with thermal sciences.
- Strong analytical skills
- 3+ years industrial experience preferred.
- Gas turbine engine systems analysis and design, including steady state
performance, transient analysis (operability),test data analysis and
performance correlation and optimization.
- Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- 3+ year full time CFD simulation experience with hands-on meshing and post
-processing skills.
- Industrial experience in thermodynamic cycle design and performance
testing
- Knowledge of turbine systems and components, fuel systems, aerothermal
processes, turbine dynamics, heat exchangers (recuperator).
- Experience utilizing high performance computing resources, FORTRAN or C /C
++ programming, Matlab and Simulink
- Experience in testing or simulation of gas turbine component performance,
for example, compressor, turbine rotor, recuperator performance.
