刚刚面试了,ap老板很热情,全程的介绍陪同,把他组里所有的正在进行的工作都介绍
了。然后还负责校内交通,最后离开的时候只说keep in touch,没啥其他的。一般这
个offer问题,都是教授先表态吧,俺们找postdoc的不用表态吧,反正表态了也没用。
还有,也没跟我说怎么报销的事,如果不要我了,也得给我说一下报销旅途费用的事吧

生活中有很多仪式感,有的人很在乎这些,有的人认为是浪费时间的形式主义,也有些
人忙的晕头转向,真的没时间去布置这些仪式感的事情。
仪式感是需要花钱的,但是不一定要花很多钱,可以根据自己的经济条件来。
比如有钱人,可以隔几天就更新一束鲜花,放在客厅装点房间,也可以去坐游艇,去高
大上的餐厅吃法式大餐,甚至可以有更多奢华的仪式感,比如买个2克拉的钻戒给老婆
作为礼物。
钱少的人,可以有简单的仪式感,比如在餐桌上铺上一块喜欢的款式的桌布,即便是简
单的饭菜,也摆的整齐的吃,每天喝咖啡的时候,用一个漂亮的咖啡杯,每天给爱人一
个吻。
这些看似是可有可无的形式主义,但是也许会增加一些幸福感。
我是穷人,没有钱去搞什么奢华的仪式感,有时候也确实是忙的没有时间把家里布置的
特别有情调,我要养家糊口,时间几乎都满了,老人身体不好,孩子上学,我压力山大
,这些仪式感,距离我越来越远。
我不知道这算是一种悲哀,还是说这没什么了不起的,这些东西不过是一些形式,没有
也不影响生活,或者说,仪式感只是有钱人的游戏吗。

Position Summary

Provides senior level leadership to the Sustaining Engineering group.
Responsible for identifying core group goals that will meet the corporation'
s needs and the strategy on how to achieve them. Provides overall technical
direction to the group, introduces new processes/technologies to increase
capabilities, and partners with other functional leaders to ensure synergy
among the groups. Defines high level human capital needs in terms of skill
set, capability, and numbers. Maintains overall responsibility for the
technical contributions and capability of the group.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Provide high level, technical leadership for a team of manufacturing,
software and quality engineers.
Establish high level approach to RCCA methodology.
Establish strategic direction for best in class hardware and software test
laboratories to perform root cause analysis and correct product issues.
Form high level partnerships with internal and EMS teams to ensure highest
possible product quality.
Develop strategy for manufacturing test programs and procedures for high
volume production.
Provide strategic direction and process capability around design-for-test (
DFT), design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and built-in-test (BIT).
Provide technical direction around test capability and capacity, including
ICT, board-level and sub system-level functional tests including automation.
Partner with Design Engineering and NPI group to develop Product Assurance
Plan strategy, including up front design reliability work and on-going
reliability testing.
Partner with engineering, PCB fab subcontractors, and board assembly
contract manufacturers around the most efficient test strategies/
methodologies for Citrix products.
Establish strategy around how to best meet global compliance needs.
Establish strategy for Sustaining Labs such that we are always one step
ahead of the requirements generated from new product introductions.
Establish high level approach around problem solving capability, focused on
both process and product related issues.
Develop training strategy (scope, approach, timing, resources, and budget)
and materials on new procedures to production testing staff both internally
and at Contract Manufacturer’s.
Provide strategy around audit processes and procedures. Define key metrics
required to ensure on-going process control and product reliability.
Establish high level reviews to assess the effectiveness of corrective
action process and solution implementation.
Define strategy around how to best generate and manage manufacturing
documentation required for product manufacture.
Partner with regulatory bodies to ensure safety, environmental and design
standards are met.
Partner with contract manufacturer to set strategy for design layout of the
plant
Establish quality system strategy within the manufacturing environment
Qualifications and Requirements
Expert in the area of root cause analysis and corrective action, both at the
process and product level
Strong analog/digital knowledge and the ability to use CAD/CAM software
tools (Orcad capture, GerberViewer, ACAD etc.) is a plus
Hands-on experience with programming languages C# and C++ is desirable
Knowledge of Ruby/Perl scripting is a plus
Strong experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
Installation and working experience with SQL Server databases preferred
Advanced experience in writing test scripts/unit tests and writing scripts
for automated scripting is a plus
Demonstrated competence in designing in a DFM/DFT framework
Well grounded knowledge of OrCad and Allegro design and layout tools
Expert skill in framing hardware, software, and programmable logic tradeoffs
given constraints on development time, production cost, manufacturability,
and maintenance
Track record on x86 based architecture and designs, in which sensitive high
speed interfaces coexist. Advanced understanding of power and thermal
characterizations and the effect of them in the overall system level designs.
Adept in a lab environment using digital/analog debug tools (ICE, logic
analyzers, Oscilloscopes)
Hardware expertise on multi-core processor based systems
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both
individually and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to provide high level, technical leadership within and outside of
the Sustaining Engineering group
Ability to partner cross-functionally with technical leaders in Marketing,
Engineering, and Mfg Operations to establish high level strategic direction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Functional/Technical Requirements (include education, certifications, and
training)
Bachelor of Science degree in EE or CS, or equivalent; Master of Science
degree preferred
12+ years of test engineering experience in developing test process for
networking products preferably with hands on experience in the application
switching and acceleration products
Advanced experience in electrical & mechanical design from schematic capture
to PCB layout
Extensive practical application of testing processes and methodologies and a
firm understanding of all phases of the hardware and software development
life cycle required
Health and Safety, Supply Chain Logistics, Quality Assurance, Business
Fundamentals, Expense & Budget Management, Forecasting and Planning, Vendor
Management, Knowledge of Domain specific Processes and Practices, Project
Management, Compliance, Dashboards, Analytics, and KPIs, Manufacturing and
Production Processes (Manuf. Only), Hardware Engineering (Manuf. Only),
Proposal (RFP, RFI) Development, Evaluation & Selection (Materials Only)

有秘书,那老板不说很正常,他也不一定知道,问秘书,秘书就会告诉
你需要不需要填表,然后再把所有的材料寄给秘书,他就会处理了

是不是老板有别的人选,所以没有马上定下来。不过我跟他说我opt开始时间,还有一个多月,不知道他有没有把这个考虑进去。

也许后面还有其他人面试,也许需要知道实验室的人的看法。不过说实在
猜测没有用,每个老板的做法都不一样。 把你该做都做,然后就是等了。
等的时候继续找别的,别经常想或者分析老板是什么想法,那样日子太难
过了。

一个多月,不知道他有没有把这个考虑进去。

呵呵,其实说别人容易,自己确实放不下。当年我也一样,不过后来想想也没有用处
