how to find out the weakness of a very advanced paper?# Engineering - 工程

I am doing my comprehensive examine and my boss gave me a very newly and
advanced paper to let me review its good points and weakness. I really don't
know how to do that. I read a lot of papers but still could not find out
where its weakness is. Anyone can help? I am begging for help now.

search the key word "assumptions", that is it.
