Take it easy. Publication is more about networking than the quality. I got
very mean comments from reviewers, who obviously didn't read through my
paper. For a journal setting the tenure bars, everything depends on our
professor, unless you are really a genius.
Now, I work in industry. We also reviewed papers sent by our academic
partners, with big tail guy stamped on it. I know that it is for sure to be
published on a flagship journal. As for the quality, the comments that I
once suffered from seem better apply for this paper.
Industry people usually challenge the value of academic research and these
challenges are not groundless. The research done in my field 20 years ago
are valuable both in practice and theory. Now, it is more about whom you
know. The filth of MBA is everywhere.
