去年暑假从一个排名100多的学校拿到有机Master之后，在一个food company干了一年。
在现在这种经济情况下，想读个化工，药学或是食品科学的PhD。实在不想回原来的学
校完成化学的PhD。不知道这几个专业的就业情况如何？不知道我这种背景申请这些专
业有没有大点希望？
有时候对前途比较迷茫。想听听各位的高见。非常感谢！祝周末愉快！

Dr. Jiong Hu, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering at
the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is currently looking for two Ph.D.
Graduate Research Assistants (GRA) to conduct research in the area of
Concrete Materials. The GRA positions will start in Spring/Fall 2016. CSC
scholarship students are welcomed to apply.
Successful candidates will be conducting research in the field of
sustainable civil engineering materials, particularly in the areas of
concrete with recycled materials, selfヽonsolidation concrete (SCC), fresh
concrete properties and rheology of concrete, and advanced concrete
materials. Details about Dr. Hu’s research projects can be found at http://jhu.unl.edu/.
Candidates should have (or about to receive) a MS degree in Civil
Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering, and should be eligible to

你猜的很对。
我觉得自己没有化学研究的热情和天分。即使拿到化学PhD也不会做出什么好文章。
在公司看不出将来有什么前途，给的也很少。搞不好明年还可能被裁。想转到
pharmaceutical,现在这种情况也不太可能。所以想转个自己喜欢的应用学科。
我想先试试吧。
