I would like to thank you for your generous offer to provide snacks for
the seminar. However, I have spoken to Dr. xxx and she states that we
have too many proposals and hearing that order food. Those who attend
the seminar are welcome to bring food/snacks but many of them last the
two hour meeting.
什么意思,我发email说看能不能准备些refreshment和drinks,对方这么回的

doesn't make sence.
it sounds like to me that you can bring some if you want. but that email
doesn't make sence. =)

似乎是说吃的估计会比较多，供给过剩。
