I am currently on my 2nd year Associate Professorship with a R01 in a A&S
department. Will receive another R01 this year. I wonder if I could ask for
an early promotion for a full.
Any advice? Thx.

asked my PhD advisor and she thought it would be too early. The problem is
that there is no clear guideline in my place.

问问你们系里的senior faculty吧。我感觉从Associate to Full professor的
timeline比较flexible. 我认识不少人都是3-4年就promoted到full professor的。
