一个NIH R21，去年11月A1 submission，今年2月出的分数，percentile 26%，3月说没
有中。准备重新投6月的了。
结果6月7号PO突然写信要JIT，要当晚答复。我们把他的3个问题都回答了，当晚7:30发
给PO，PO还马上发信确认收到了。然后就至今没有音信了。这个fund的可能大吗？一般
要等多久？

I am writing to let you know that the above grant has been chosen to be
considered for exception funding. It is a very competitive process and there
are several layers of review. I have a few questions regarding the
application. Could you please address as soon as possible? My apologies for
the short notice but my timeline is very tight.

好消息，要看payline meeting 在什么时候（commons上没有），commons上唯一能看的
是SNAP indicate code，如果变成Y,说明他们在开始work on 你的award。
和PO保持联系，他们9月底之前必须发完。

多谢两位。
其实这个R21的A1 submission是去年7月，分数去年11月出来，今年2月就通知说没有
fund了。
当时PO说可能以后有更多钱了会考虑fund你们，但是也不保险，你们还是继续投6月那
轮吧。
结果前两天突然来这么一个，又是chosen to be considered for exception funding
（感觉是好消息），又是there are several layers of review （感觉还不确定）。
所以不知道这种情况有戏没。有没有人经历过这个所谓的exception funding是什么情
况。

应该是end-of-year funding. PO recommend之后，还需要一轮轮筛选（division
review，institution review），如果你的case比较强，research topic他们又喜欢
，就有戏。

忘了更新，最终的结果是没有被fund。PO推荐了用year end money来fund，但是最终
一轮内部审定没过。
