楼主情况是H1B第六年，今年9月份过期，140已批准，PD是去年7月份。
眼看排期遥遥无期，正犹豫跳槽，目前有个问题是：
这种情况下，必须现在公司做好extension拿到3年有效status之后，再h1 transfer到
新公司？OR 新公司直接h1 transfer的同时利用已批140就能拿到3年的extension？

搭车问一下这个h1 transfer是在辞职之前办还是辞职之后办？是先办好transfer以后
再离开旧公司，还是先到新公司上班再办transfer？怎么衔接？

你得先transfer, 再去上班。理论上USCIS收到你的申请就可以去新公司上班。但最好
办加快，自己出1000刀（如果新公司不愿意的话），办成后再去上班。面得transfer出
问题，吃亏的是你自己。我出过这种问题，USCIS 搞错了，律师又重新提交材料，吓了
一身冷汗。
你还没有拿到I485，到新公司又得重办perm。挺麻烦的。一般的公司要等你工作满一年
才肯办perm。

Hi, sorry I couldn't type in Chinese. May I ask a further question? So,
there is a rule saying that one must have PERM filed one year prior to
expiration of the 6th year of H1B, otherwise H1B cannot be further extended
beyond 6 years. In this case, if he goes to the new company with a extended
(3 yr) H1B, and then file the PERM one year later. Does that conflict with
the rule? Because when he files the PERM, his 6 year H1B limit has already
been used up, and he is only on extended H1B beyond 6 years. In this case,
can he further extend H1B after 3 years extension is over (assume that he
has not filed 485 by then)?
