Summer is nice. A lot nicer than Beijing and Shanghai. You can be pretty com
fortable without air-conditioning for most of the time. There may be a couple
of weeks that are hot. It is a lot drier than Shanghai.
Winter is cold and long. A little colder than Beijing. Heavy snow is normal.
You need to keep the heat on from late Oct. or early Nov. to late Mar. or ea
rly Apr.
By the way, State College, where PSU is in, is a very nice town. Almost all w
hites. Lots of trees and green. A lit
