Hi, Dear all
I have question regarding TX return:
I rollover one of my 403b to a traditional IRA in 2011 , i made sure it was
a direct rollover (i did not take any money out). Do you still supposed to
receive a 1099-R form?
1. Do i need to fill this 1099-R i received when prepare my 1040?
2. a related question is. this rollover was about $1000. I made another $
5000 contribution to a Roth IRA in 2011. When i started to prepare my tax
return. the Software start to tell ime that I can only contribute $4000
maximum now to my Roth IRA since my rollover of $1000 from 403b to
traditional IRA? is this correct? I guess i need to withdraw some money out
from my Roth IRA? How to execute this?

1. Yes, you always receive a 1099-R. You have to send it when you file your
taxes or enter it in if you use software. It will not affect your taxes in
your case.
2. No, this doesn't make sense. I don't know what your software is thinking,
but it might be confused thinking that the rollover was a contribution.
