What you lose in level of security, you gain in ease-of-use. I like Boxcryptor's Encfs and that it keeps my file structure on Dropbox, just scrambles each file completely. I can see my file uploaded one at a time with Boxcryptor. Never needs to mount/unmount, never needs to worry some day the entire Truecrypt volumn gets uploaded to Dropbox.
【在 i***l 的大作中提到】 : not open source, you never know if there is backdoor in the software. : I'd rather use truecrypt.

agreed, you made some good points. a file encryptor surely is easier to use than a disk encryptor like truecrypt. However I still prefer open source file encryptor over closed- source software. I'd rather use 7zip to encrypt a file since it is open source. something to read: "In 2008, the FBI attempted to break encryption on hard drives using a program called TrueCrypt, but the equipment was finally returned after a year of failed tries." http://www.cybercrimereview.com/2012/01/tech-watch-truecrypt-pr
