不熟悉的领域最好不要接

很多CC都不sponsor h1b。

(the associate editor is in the exactly same field as I, so i guess

I guess many associate or Cheif editors do not care whether they understand
the munascripts or not, but make their final decision only based on reviewer
comments.

My suggestion to you:
If you have the pressure for GC application, you can review this article,
but follow the following steps:
(1) check the website for the authors, see if they are expert in this field.
If they already published a large number of similar articles. Just raise
some tiny suggestions, e.g. figure plot style changes, the discussion should
be further improved and so on.
(2) if the authors are novice, find fault to reject it. This can be done
with the help of your friends who can dig

不是自己研究方向太正常了，除非你做的是热门方向，很多人在做，我做的review大多
数都不是自己的研究方向。我觉得Ph.D还是知识面要广一些，不能只局限于自己研究领
域。平时应该多拓宽自己的知识面，多看看别的领域的文章，而且知识面广了也容易有
更多，更新的idea。
