移民官怎么想不知道。谈点看法，供参考。
作为无关的人，看到你的帖子，第一印象是背景一定很弱，连phd论文都拿来为
publication充数。想说的是，会不会移民官也会得到这样的印象。

I do not think it is a good idea to claim your phd dissertation, but you can
mention that strategically as one evidence.

搞笑。 phd dissertation 算哪门子出版在 professional/major media上的出版物。
仔细去读申请要求。

superant说得很对。要的是 professional/major media上的peer review的出版物。而
且最好是major language。Dissertation 肯定不是。
你这一来，反而把其他的材料给弄弱了。

publications and made huge impact in industries/research, go ahead.
One of my advisor's first graduate students did that. But beware, his
dissertation is being applied in practical applications in NASA Ames, AMRDEC
, PAX, and more.

想指明一点，我不过是“问问”，感谢大家的提示!
顺带厚脸皮说一下，我有六篇一作，包括IF8.6，并不押宝phd thesis。我问问只不过
是因为看到有关的帖子，像好奇查查自己的thesis citation，希望不要进一步引申...
到现在还不明白，到底该怎么查thesis citation。如果真地发现自己的phd thesis被
引用了几十次，难道不可以claim吗？
