刚从系主任那边得到确认，学校不可能帮我转成永久职位(如research scientist)，因
为我薄后的工资来自于导师的课题，而不是来自于学校。但系主任很帮忙，帮我想了另

seems like a non-research title, maybe not working.
Research scientist can be paid by the PI, which is your boss. Some big
groups have many research scientists paid by the PI's grant.

系主任只是知道这个teaching的职位是永久职位 的确是想帮我 我有权拒绝这个职
位 如果要拿的话，肯定要老板同意。
应该有不少硕士生对这个职位感兴趣，系里应该不愁招到人

Many post-docs applied through EB1B. The offer letter can be just that the
position does not end on certain date, without the need to put the word "
permanent" there.
