To Whom It May Concern, We are a group of people who have applied our permanent residencies under EB1 (researcher with extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher and professors) category with approved immigrant petition for alien worker (I- 140). We are now waiting for ad justification of status to a permanent resident of the United States (I-485). However, we have recently noticed that a significant delay in processing I-485 applications under EB1 category at either TSC or NSC, although most of our cases have exceeded the 4-month time frame specified by USCIS. We are very concerned that UCSIS has weighed their workforce on processing other cases and neglected EB1. The purpose of establishment of EB1 (first preference) is to keep outstanding scientists in USA by granting them permanent residencies through a fast track. We believe the dramatic delay in EB1 I-485 approval have hurt the interests on both the applicants and their employers: 1. It will delay outstanding foreign scientists to start their own business , which will fuel the nation’s economy, stimulate investment, and spur job creation. 2. It will exclude many outstanding foreign scientists from getting more funds and projects for their employer; thus blocked their employer from making more profit and creating more jobs. 3. It will prevent outstanding foreign scientists from international traveling for business and conferences We therefore request that USCIS consider speeding up the process of EB1 I- 485 applications and providing a more clear track for EB1 I-485 processing or a fast lane through premium processing, which is actually very feasible due to limited number of applicants. Here, I attached my application status for you reference: Best Regards,

support! We also need make sure they will read our emails instead of deleting it directly by USCIS.
Very Zan and spt! But I have one question: for us 485 newbies, can we help in someway? We can' t say that our cases are delayed as of now, and of course I hope that we don 't have to come to that, but right now, is there anything we can do?

1. It will delay talented foreign scientists to start their own business , which will fuel the nation’s economy, stimulate investment, and spur job creation. 2. It will exclude many talented foreign scientists from getting more funds and projects for their employer; thus blocked their employer from making more profit and creating more jobs. 举1-2个简短例子。 3. It will prevent talented foreign scientists from international traveling for business and conferences 要说明这个对美国的好处是什么。 4. As mentioned above, compared to EB23, EB1 will benefit US much more in the aspects of job creation, technology revolution, economy development and so on, due to their outstanding/extraordinary achivements in science, engineering, technology, etc. The most important, the current extremly long processing time of EB1 140 and 485, ranging from 1 year to 2 years, will scare away many many outstanding researchers/professors, because they can very easily land decent jobs and make outstanding achievements in their mother countries.
I did a little change in your first paragraph for your reference. We are a group of people who have applied our employment-based (EB-1) permanent residencies under Sec. 203 (b) (1) [8 U.S.C. 1153] category( researcher with extraordinary ability and outstanding researcher and professors) with approved immigrant petition for alien worker (I-140). Currently, we are now waiting for ad justification of status to a permanent resident of the United States (I-485). However, we have recently noticed that a ...... I really appreciate your time and draft. We should speak out loudly at this moment.
It's not 4 months for us. We waited and waited and spent years building up our credentials. Those times count, too. People take different routes to achieve the same goal. Why is it that you can speak out and we can not?
I know this post will get some comments like this. For A LOT of reasons, EB1 and EB23 cannot live in the same world at the same time. This is also the reason why I ask EB1 people to be patient. ^_^ Anyway, I personally think there is nothing wrong for the EB1 people to get their benefits as early as possible. Especially now USCIS is working with 100% efforts on EB23 and does not care about the real and true needs of EB1 people. A processing time of 8 months for any petitions is not favoured.
