我的cover letter是律师写的。我改了一些，加了一些内容，like scientific
details. his cover letter is about 7 pages and i add some stuff to make it
10 pages. after i received his letter, I delete a lot and now it is about 8
page long. i also try my best to use the everyday language instead of
scientific language to make it easier to read.
我现在的担心是律师说我加了好多细节，他说细节会导致rfe。 我现在就不知道怎么办
了，其实细节都是加的evidence， 比如说我的文章好，被那些大牛引用到文章和书里
，加上大牛的titile(long ranks), 我审的文章都是大牛/小牛的文章（列出该文章的
作者的头衔， 杂志也是好的杂志，具体排名放到了appendix里。这样不好吗。 我觉得
这样言之有物。 我都没有什么图，不懂要什么图，律师也没说，也没做。如果真的想
他说的那样，CIS不读的话，我的不是白写了吗
Although I personally have no problem with your modification, and even think
you have made some things much clearer, I am afraid you do not understand
the nature of the review process at CIS.
The people who review your case will not be scientists, nor will they
understand huge amounts of scientific detail. For that reason, I try to keep
detail out as much as possible. Furthermore they are looking for a quick
synopsis of the case so they can make a decision as to whether or not the
case is approvable in the first instance. For that reason I try to keep the
cover letter short. It has been my experience that long and detailed cover
letters are never read. Indeed, many times short very clear cover letters
are never read.
Long detailed cover letters are almost guaranteed to generate RFEs, but CIS
is so busy now, that virtually all cases are generating RFEs. The examiners
don't have time to do their jobs, and that is why short letters are better
than long, since they at least have a chance to be read.
