Thank you for everyone's blessing. Yesterday When I read my screening report, I found that my gestational age on the blood test day was 4 days more than my real GA. And my birth date was
two years older on the report. Will these mistakes affect the risk factor I
got?
I'm still waiting for the FISH resort anxiously. When I did CVS on Thurday the doctor told me I might be able to get the perliminary FISH result in the following day. I kept calling since
Friday. I still haven't got it.....:( It dri

胎儿染色体异常中最常见的是21三体（三条21号染色体-唐氏
综合征），18三体（三条18号染色体，爱德华综合征），13
三体（三条13号染色体，帕陶综合征）。此外还有更少见的
其他染色体异常。
first trimester要测三项指标 - nuchal
translucency, hCG, and PAPP-A。其中第一项是B
超，后两项是血检。主要查的是21和18三体。
对于这三项指标结果的准确性：

I already cried many times since yesterday. I believe all moms who had the
same experiences understand how I feel. Your explanation are very helpful.
One thing I don't understand is why there is only 5% normal pregancies
receive false alarm since I have read about so many false results stories.

lz你问的是不是为什么只有5％的人出错，可是你却在版上看到那么多假阳性的人，最
终都证明是假的？这个是个概率问题
假设1000人中只有一个人是down syndrome
5％的假阳性表示讲有50个人得到阳性结果
这50个人中只有一个是真正down syndrome
所以你拿到阳性结果，是真的阳性的概率只有2％而已，看起来是不是很低？
越是罕见的疾病，这个概率越低，也就是很低的假阳性率如5％也可以导致最后这个概率很低
所以5％的假阳性不代表你拿到阳性结果就有95％的可能性是真的
不知道我说清楚没？

FISH结果一天就出来了

对对对，
这个5%的假阳性是指5%所有做这个测试的人，不是5%这个结
果的人。
好运说的例子完全正确，就是这样。
1000个人做检查，50个人（5%）会有阳性结果。这个阳性结
果的意思是结果>=1/300。因为羊穿的流产率是1/300所以
用这个比例做指标。当然这当中有的人是1/20，有的人是
1/150，有的人是1/18。这个具体数据不重要，重要的是，
谁也不知道那一两个真正的唐氏在哪里。有可能1/20的20个
人里面一个都没有，而1/100的里面有一个。
所以要再在这50人中做cvs，或者羊穿。
“所以5％的假阳性不代表你拿到阳性结果就有95％的可能性
是真的”
这句话很重要。5%只代表所有检查结果正常的人当中有5%有
异常结果。不代表阳性结果中95%的人是真的异常。

I heard the nurse talk about FISH report but didn't know what it meant. I
just called the hospital and was told the FISH report will come out on
Monday. But the full report will need 1 to 2 weeks to be ready.

嗯，这样的。这些检查的结果如果按人数和数字大小画个曲
线，那么都是正态分布的钟形曲线。就是说大多数都是中间附
近，但是正常，非常非常正常的人，也会有一部分在两头，要
么数特大，要么特小（我说的是具体检查的结果，不是那个百
分比）。但是这些人都很正常，非常正常啊？为啥在两头？那
就不好说了，没有人知道。也许跟激素水平，营养环境啥的有
关系？不知道啊。多少是chance，没有办法的。自然界就是
这样的，有些人总会特立独行一些，与众不同一些，没啥不正
常的。因为正常指标的这个分布特性，一定会有人在两头。
但是你要是问，为啥自然分布的曲线不是三个blocks。。。
这个你要问god，呵呵

Sometimes I really doubt the meaning of these tests. I guess in our mother
or grandmother's time pregnancies must be simple and much less complicated.

unknown=uncertainty。。。所以啊那个时候的新生儿死
亡率很高的。
确实，mm的情况有异常的概率要大于很多人，这个是事实，
要有一定的思想准备。但是即使如此，这个概率也不是非常
大，要有信心。
总结就是要一颗红心，两种准备。

提醒一点，注意看看实验报告里你的due day填得对不对。这个是影响计算概率的关键
因素。
我开始被告知是阳性后，坐立不安，自己去医院实验室拿报告看，看到1：25时简直要
昏过去了。后来发现他们把我的due day填早了一个月。让他们重新算，变成1：2000了
。后来，我炒了那个医生。
顺便说一句，根据我看的资料，这个概率其实对很多参数非常敏感，比如参照人群。稍
有变化，就能把阴性变成阳性，实在是很不靠谱。不过羊穿结果应该是比较准的。

How can you 自己去医院实验室拿报告看? The doctor showed me the numbers and
the risk rate. I was told to wait for the phone call of the CVS test results
. My due date should be accurate. But thank you for the reminder, I'll
request a copy of the 实验报告.
How did you do your blook test? I drew blood from fingertips by myself and
pressed the blood onto a paper, then mail it to a specified lab. I'm
wondering if there are anything wrong with the blood sample. I had a hard
time to screeze the blood and even pressed

我是在医院做的血检，因为我的ob是医院里的。lz的ob看来是私人诊所的。我当时那个
ob的护士很不负责，只跟我讲是阳性，其它一概不知道。所以我只好自己去医院实验室
取报告来看。你应该可以直接要医生给你报告复印件。

我的ob没有让我做cvs，我发现的时候已经过了12周了
然后我问ob怎么能check其他潜在的基因疾病和唐氏
他让我做这个
quadruple screen test
是在15-18周做的

anxiously. When I did CVS on Thurday the doctor told me I might be able to
get the perliminary FISH result in the following day. I kept calling since
Friday. I still haven't got it.....:( It drives me crazy. I cannot focus on
anything except for waiting. Anyone did CVS before? How long did you wait to
get the perliminary FISH results??
Yesterday When I read my screening report, I found that my gestational age

前两天好像看到过一个类似的帖子，如果把年龄算错了，rate的确变化会比较大，建议
你给医生打电话，指出错的地方，让他们重新给你一个rate

I don't know how can they put both dates wrong. is this common? Shouldn't we
