我说的肯定不是我的亲身父母，我父母是很好的，而且我很幸福，我今天要说的是
我同学的父母。我这同学的性格很不讨喜，一句话就是闷，啥事也不说，就这么闷在心
里，那个时候我们一整个寝室的人都不敢跟她说话，因为她不止闷，而且脾气总是特别
大，若是多说了她一句什么，她就不开心，而且样子看着特别吓人，所以后来干脆就不
理她了，不过他就是时好时坏，有时特别开朗，有时特别敏感，所以我们就总是背后说
她是个奇葩。
不过经过整整几年时光的相处，后来大学毕业后，她性格也好了很多，对外人虽然
阴晴不定，但是对我们是没话说，特别好，后来时间久了，也发现也许她这么敏感是和
家庭因素有关，他父母怎么说呢，说不好听通俗点就是尖酸。大家都是华人家庭，因为
她有个弟弟，所以家人也更看重男生，而且这弟弟又听话而且学习成绩又好，所以她从
小不被家里人喜欢。而且那个时候大学她都很少回家，后来她才说每次回家就和家里人
吵架，家里人说她好吃懒做，每次让她在空闲时候就多去做点兼职什么的，家里的人也
许不想为她负担生活费了，总之听着也感觉为她很心酸。
幸好我有一个幸福美满的家庭。

I am looking for recommenders now for NIW application. My citations are only
20-30 and most from China. I sent emails to all the potential recommenders,
but only one agreed. Feel so disappointed. Even for people my PhD boss
recommended (they know each other), they did not reply me. I feel so
frustrated and don't want to work, don't want to do anything else. Please
bless me to get two more people agree to sign the RL. Thank you in advance
and bless you all!

只要你敢豁出去，没有办不成的，我曾经一封邮件连发三遍给一个大牛，终于把他打动
了，写了，不太好，又厚着脸皮发去模板，大牛无奈了，当天签发。这过程就是磨炼意
志，超越自我的过程。凤凰涅槃，浴火重生

I got some sample letters for asking for RL. Probably it is not suitable.
Most people replied to decline my request. I really appreciate if you don't
mind sending me yours. Thank you.

Use your phd advisor's connection? If your advisor or any of your phd
committee members has a big name, then do mention his/her name in the email
asking for supporting letter.
keep looking and you will get the letter!
