一切政策和期限什么的好像都悬在空中，没有定论。
离2月13号很近了
大家开始着手back plan了吗，比如申请学校用CPT工作什么的。。

刚查了查转non profit h1，好像也得几个月，来不及。

ＰＰ也来不及了，一个网友说的：
现在办H1B需要3步：
1。PWD：1.5-2个月
2。LCA：大概1个月
3。H1B：加急2 weeks；不加急3~4个月。
前两步由劳工部办，不能加急。

PWD应该是Prevailing wage determination吧。
1. prevailing wage determination （45天）
2. LCA （10天）
3. 正式递交I-129表

同样的情况，17个月的OPT Extension 3月7号过期。公司还会sponsor今年的H1b。
如果OPT New Rule还不出来，我从3月7号到10月1号是肯定不能工作了。
你们有什么back up plan 呢？因为老公还在读博士，我可以转成F2。之后可以申请再
读个什么学位吧。但是要用CPT维持工作，貌似很多学校都有1年在读的要求。

刚跟学校联系了，邮件说让我们等，他们也不知道怎么办。好像用ＯＰＴ的人还不少，
他们也不想立马把大家都转Ｈ１，只能干等了。

我之前也和学校联系过，分享学校给我的回复：
Questions on proposed 7 extra month STEM OPT Extension
Question 1: Can I apply for the 7 extra month STEM OPT Extension, if DHS
finalize this new rule before 02/12/2016?
YES IF IT IS EXTENDED.

Question 2: If I mail out my application as soon as this new rule finalized
and got USCIS receipt before my OPT expiration date, can I continue to work
up to 180 days while my STEM OPT application is pending with USCIS? In this
case, I am able to maintain my working status in my company（之前第一次申请
OPT 17 Months Extension时，有规定说只要收到USCIS的receipt，case 处于Pending
期间的，可以合法工作180天）.
WE DO NOT KNOW. DEPENDS ON THE FINAL RULE.

Question 3: If I am eligible for this 7 extra month extension, my new OPT
expiration date will be Oct. 6th, 2016. In that case, will I be eligible for
Cap-Gap OPT?
THERE WOULD BE NO NEED BECAUSE CAP GAP ONLY GOES TO OCTOBER 1, 2015.

刚才去学校的international center 问了，说他们也没有进一步的消息。他们说不要
担心。我问是不是如果新的opt extension rule如果不能通过，是不是意味着我２月１
２号要马上回国？他们说，不会的，不要担心。
看来还是不确定。看上面的帖子好像就算现在找到non profit工作，办签证也来不及了
。只能祷告了，希望新的opt extension rule能够通过

想知道如果我们的OPT不能用了，马上申请　non profit organization 支持的H1b 或
者J1, 申请等待的时间是不是可以合法的呆在美国呢？

公司律师表示很乐观，觉得不可能有问题
我本来说申O1，因为eb1b的材料也准备的差不多了，结果被驳回，说没必要接着今年抽
H1B。。。

我opt2月16过期，刚拿到offer。拿着申请延期的收据公司叫我周一开始工作。可见大
家还是很乐观的！

最近问了下公司的相关部门和一些同事。
公司说，没什么消息，会update我们
同事的back up plan无非就是去其他国家office或者CPT..
我觉得两种plan好像都来不及了。。希望有好消息吧
