刚才有同学写信问我找议员催485用什么理由，有没有模板， 我也贴在这里好了。我的
485还没到4个月， 用的理由是申请funding。模板如下：
Dear Congressman xxx,
My name is xxx and my husband’s name is xxx. I am a xxx at xxx. I am
writing to request your kind assistance in our Permanent Residency (I-485)
application, Employment Authorization (I-765) application and Travel
Document (I-131) application with the US Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS).
I filed “Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker” (I-140) in xxx, which was
approved in xxx. I then filed “Application to Register Permanent Residence
or Adjust Status” (I-485), Employment Authorization (I-765) application and
Travel Document (I-131) application for my husband and me in xxx. The
processing time of our I-765 has been outside the normal processing time (75
days).
The delay of our cases will adversely affect US interest. The reason is that
I am actively involved in xxxx’s cancer research efforts, however, I am
unable to apply for several grants that require permanent resident status.
Congressman xxx, we are asking for your help to urge the USCIS NSC and the
corresponding agencies to expedite (or rather, not to further delay)
adjudicating our cases including I-485, I-765 and I-131.
