父母在美国探亲，签证还有三个半月到期。护照还有快一年到期。
我倾向于他们在美国期间为他们申请绿卡，现有几个问题想问问大家，谢谢帮忙
1. 人在美国，一般多久可以拿到绿卡
2. 他们签证3.5月后到期，护照一年后到期，这个时间是否影响他们申请绿卡
3. 我希望他们在这里申请绿卡，但像知道有没有一些资料必须回国拿。
另外有哪些材料需要公证，在美国可以公证吗？

1.拿绿卡的时间和在不在美国没啥关系。时间不定,一般半年到一年以上。
2.护照办延期呗，大使馆来你们州的时候，办理下就成了。很简单。或者去趟大使馆。
当然，身份要合法，不然不能办理。
3.没啥需要的文件，就是你的出生公证，上有你父母名字的。加上你的美国护照。父母
的结婚证书，这个需要公证，如果有结婚证书的复印件，在美国公证也可以。找地方吧。
去咨询律师为好。很简单的案子。

(gong zheng zhu) in China.
in my case, I sent a letter authorizing my aunt to be our proxy, a colored
photo of my parents together in a red-colored background, and ask my aunt to
get the rest of the documents from my parents home. The cost was about 1000
RMB for 3 certificates, if I remember it correctly.
after my aunt had the certificates, she just scanned and sent those to me
electronically. I printed and filed with the application package.

完全不是一码事。
必须有国内的相应原件。才能办理英文版。
出生证要去户口所在地开证明，然后去弄公证。
结婚证书可以弄复印件来美国公证。
