先非常谢谢大家的热情指点
今天刚拿了一个校内offer 不过还是口头的
我现在的问题是我月底在外校还有面试，外校的实验室是我最想去的
我现在不确定我是不是应该接受校内offer 怕我万一拿到外校的又要后悔
总之人就是这样救命的时候一根稻草也要紧抓住
如果有选择又举棋不定
我现在面临几种情况 1，直接接受offer 据学校律师说校内transfer很简单时间也够了
2，如果外校拒了我，那我也没选择，直接接受校内offer
3，外校也给offer，这种情况下我就很难抉择，外校实验室是我们这个领域的一个大
牛，每年都有CNS+子刊之类的文章，出路我觉得肯定也会比校内的实验室好很多问题
就是时间肯定不够
不知道该怎么选择，我现在是想如果拿到校外的和老板拖让其多给我两个月，这是我
唯一能想到的

学校内的H1B transfer也不简单，跟校外transfer一样。
你要去你们学校问清楚，到底要不要重新进行prevailing wage determination
（这个需要3到5个星期），另外，还要要重新申请LCA，也需要1到2个星期。
跟校外transfer一样的程序和时间。

校内实验室老板给我回的
I’ve been communicating with the Office of General Counsel today. What I’
ve learned is that we may or may not to have file an amendment for your H1-B
. In general, even if we do have to file an amendment, a transfer of
positions can take place within the university before the amendment is filed
, as long as the amendment is filed right away. However, the person who can
comment on your particular H1-B is out of town until November 27th, she is
the one who can give the definitive answer on this. So I can’t yet give you
a final answer on the visa, but most likely it will not be a problem.

我们这H1B是一年一签我下个月10号就满一年了
是不是只要在这之前老板同意再和我续签一年，但是中间我会尽快找工作走人
这样是否可行？

同一雇主换个部门，如果工作性质或者工作地点等有显著差异，走H1B Amendment。如
果工作没有显著差异，又在同一地点工作，完全可以不办H1B Amendment。

是嘛，同一个学校但是不同的系隔壁的楼，工作性质没有区别
不知道这样行不行

同一学校，尽量走amendment。现在specialty occupation 卡的挺严格的。估计job
description 都写的很具体，很难做到换岗位job description 却不用改变了。

而且换系了有的时候soc code都变了，比如物理换了工程类，physicist和engineer 的
code肯定不一样。不知道需不需要重新file一些paperwork。

The USCIS guidance on when to file an amended or new H-1B petition is
whether "there is a material change in the terms and conditions of
employment job change".
Based on what you said, it is possible that you don't need an amended or new
H-1B petition. Your school lawyer needs to review the details of your job
change and determine whether an H-1B amendment or a new H-1B is needed.
