5. Highly indexed information structure.
6. High performance Caching
7. Algorithm for analyzing "best" and "good" link --> google
8. Anyway, It cann't be perfect!

Yahoo 用得是 Inktomi 的 search engine. www.inktomi.com
还有很多别的公司, MSN, Hotbot, exite, goto 都用他的. 是 search engine
的老牛.
The company started from a research project in Berkeley. The basic structure
is connecting a lot of out of shelf pc in parallel. The
advantage is scalable and cheap. The other tech is just so so.
上个月还去那个公司面试了一次. 一直没消息好象没戏了. //sigh
Google started from a research project in Stanford. They use
quite different tech from others.
