added support for detecting non-synchronized deadlocks. this is what I care
about anyway.

It has two things that I care about.
1. It bundles its own Bean Scripting Framework like API for
plugging in custom scripting engines. It also bundles
Rhino JavaScript engine with it. However, AFAIK, you
can't run Rhino JS engine under WebStart sandbox. I
didn't try it for 1.6 yet, but I think that would be
the same case for 1.6. So it can cause unnecessarily
problems for some people.
This change is probably more useful for server than client

Sigh, we still stick to 1.4 for server side development.
Can live without 1.5 though.

I was just trying out NetBeans 5.5 in JDK 6 and gnome. It was quite a
pleasant surprise. Overall I even felt that it was smoother than Eclipse -
as far as Eclipse's gtk binding is concerned. I still don't think Swing
beats SWT in Windows, probably very close in JDK 6 though.
On a side note, no, I'm still not switching over to NetBeans. 8-) One thing
missing which I noticed right away is the ability to highlight on the fly
all the references to the variable/type currently under cursor. It's an

NetBeans' profiler is very impressive. does anyone
know if there is a profiler plugin for eclipse?
