一直炒冬瓜都吃起来酸酸的，还以为是这里冬瓜品种问题。无意中炝锅时候放了一瓣八
角，以前我妈炒冬瓜会放这个，吃的时候还真不酸了，不过有点八角的味道。

不幸刚刚被裁，走运的是，不久拿到了qualcomm的offer。接受offer之后才被告知需要
做export license。 问题是，我旧的H1B一个月后就要失效了（export license要60-
90天才下来），到时候，即使有了新的h1B,但是没有export license还是不能工作，这
种情况下我能用我的新H1B合法呆在美国么（我记得H1B没有payroll就无效）？有哪位
大侠有类似经历么？有什么walk around 么？

至于为什么我也不知道。之前我妈炒冬瓜都会放八角，白胡椒粉，感觉就是提味，我也
是歪打正着才发现放八角就不觉得酸了

I think you have a grace period for 60 days.
Just google Grace period for H1B or OPT holders.

这是我现在的公司律师给我的信
Please note that there is no “grace period” after your H-1B employment
with ×××× ends on ×××, 2012 (or earlier if you choose to terminate
your employment prior to this time). Therefore, as of ×××, 2012, you will
no longer be maintaining H-1B status unless。。。。
根据我的理解，H1B是一天法定的grace period都没有的
Please note that there is no “grace period” after your H-1B employment
with ×××× ends on ×××, 2012 (or earlier if you choose to terminate
your employment prior to this time). Therefore, as of ×××, 2012, you will
no longer be maintaining H-1B status unless。。。。

Then you may better discuss with your layer.
But I know one lady here got fired and found a job after 2 weeks. If you
cannot get any grace period, maybe you can go back to China and then come
back again after your EL approved with H1B visa.

最后一招当然就是回国等了，但是太麻烦了，
有没有可能手里有了qualcomm 的新H1B，移民局就不查了呢？
