I have been working in a company as an intern since May. The company
recently offered me a full-time position, but my OPT has not been approved
yet. The hr department just asked me to send them the receipt from USCIS and
told me that I can continue working as I have already filed for OPT. Not
sure if it is legal to work without formal EAD card. Anybody had similar
situation before? It is urgent and thanks a lot.

I think the answer is NO.
An officer from my school told me that EAD card is equivalent to your OPT
status...
I suggest you consult USCIS with some anonymous phone call or email...

I am sure the answer from USCIS will be NO, but I do not know why the hr
from my company allowed me to work. It is an international company with a
lot of foreign employees.

除了问题，你觉得是他有压力，还是你有压力？
别以身试法，特别在你还没有身份的情况下。移民局是个不讲理的地方。美国这地，一
般都没谁天天看着你。但一旦发现你不按规则来，那就是把你往死里整。

我现在也糊涂了？貌似听说美国有个法律是只要提交申请就可以了。
