Seeking ideas and solutions:
Here is what happened: I got an offer with good bonus but I was not
satisfied with the base salary. I told the HR over the phone that I think I
deserve a higher pay. She said she will talk to the Hiring manager. Then she
got back and said the Hiring manager raised 1.5K. I was still not satisfied
and she said she could let the Hiring manager talk to me. I waited for the
next day and I called the HR. She told me the Hiring manger will contact me
soon. And then I emailed both (cc HR) with what I believe is the support for
deserving a higher pay. At the end of the day, the HR told me the Hiring
manager decided to move on and withhold the offer. I said I was not making a
counter offer but trying to negotiate. I’m willing to consider it if the
Hiring manger wants to. The HR said she will talk to the Hiring manager
tomorrow. I then called the Hiring manager next morning and he told me to
talk to the HR. Then the HR neither pick up my phone call nor respond to my
email. I am thinking they are conducting interview of another candidates.
But not sure if it is a good idea to email the Hiring manager as follows: I
am not sure what the mis-communication in between us was but I am willing to
accept the offer if you still think you want go ahead. My top priority is
to end long-distance situation for my family. But if you have other concerns
, I can live with whatever your call. Or I can wait for their response. Any
suggestions or solutions? Sorry for not able to type chinese at office.
