Responsibilities
• Develop and implement new analytical tools and services
• Develop and integrate large volumes of raw, complex data from
multiple disparate sources into common databases
• Profile and conduct preliminary analyses of data to assess quality,
completeness and integrity of source data
• Develop processes to clean, map and reformat data for consistency
• Work with business team to define data requirements and participate
in ongoing planning and design of data infrastructure
• Interact with other departmental staff to efficiently integrate
healthcare analytics with other departments and activities
• Adhere to policies, procedures and programs protecting confidential
and proprietary data and information
Skills Required
• 1-3 years of experience of using advanced quantitative methods to
solve analytical questions
• 1-3 years of experience with SQL, SAS and other business
intelligence (BI) applications/tools to
implement complex analytical tasks
• Experience of using BI reporting tool (such as QlikView) a plus
• 1-3 years of experience working with large complex databases and
development of processes to analyze, clean and transform raw data into
useful actionable information
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple
complex projects with ongoing deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively
with internal staff and develop relationships with Plans staff and
consultants
• Experience with healthcare claims data a plus
Experience Required
• Master’s degree in statistics, economics, math, operations research
, actuarial sciences, or health
policy research with emphasis on statistical/mathematical modeling
• One to three years of experience in compiling data and performing
quantitative data analysis and
research
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and independently
