MERL is looking for a qualified intern to conduct research in radiative heat
transfer. A solid background in theoretical understanding of heat transfer,
solid state physics, and electromagnetic fields is expected. Research
experiences related to thermal radiation and energy conversion are required.
Expertise in numerical modeling and simulation of electromagnetic fields
and heat transfer, experimental experiences of heat transfer are highly
desirable. The internship duration is 3-6 months with a flexible start date
between 4/1/2017 and 7/31/2017. Senior Ph.D. students in physics or
electrical/mechanical engineering with related research background are
encouraged to apply.
