背景
PhD in cancer prevention in a top program in US，post-doc 2年， now an
junior faculty.

Authorship： 7 篇中文文章（6 first-author）， 16 篇 English paper （13 first
-author. Impact factor: 2 have 19， 13； others 3-7）。
Citation: 中文 ~60， 英文 ~80， 只用google scholar，未区分他引或自引。 在
petition letter 中，按照前人的方式列出油灯图作为international impact支持，然
后在WORD里列表强调发表文章的杂志的impact factor ，领域内的排名（有好几个都是
ISI专业排名No.1），发表文章的数目;另外对于引用我文章的杂志也同样列表。扬长避
短。 在exhibition里面，对于引用我文章的杂志，打印了首页、引文页和reference页
，用彩笔highlight出引用。
中文文章， 登陆CNKI，把文章加入“个人收藏夹”，然后打印出CNKI 自动生成统计数
据（包括作者、TITLE、杂志、发表日期、引用次数和下载次数），打印出网页；自己
翻译，找个朋友一起去BOA free notary证明翻译件和网页是一样的。没有找到全文的
中文引文，exhibition里只打了first page 有abstract的，也够了。
Contribution: 主要来自于推荐信 （ overall 6, 4 dependent （1 study director
, 1 professor wrote an editorial; 1 Finland, 1 Japan）； 其余的 1 thesis
mentor, 1 thesis chairman; 4 from US); copy 整段的推荐信的强调研究贡献的句子
，放在petition letter （PL total 23 pages）。
Review: 45, for 17 international journals. Print invitation letter and thank
you letter. （另外加上 3 editor letters）.同时，简介几个highIF的杂志在
petitionletter。
Media report: 一共有reuters, fox news, yahoo, chicago tribune, us news and
world report, ABC, NBC, CNBC, sciencedaily,webmd, etc .我的名字在每个报道里
都有提到。然后在 petition letter, 附上每篇报道的 link (access date), 再引用
其中 1、 2 句话 （containing your name,better to let officer see it right
away rather than looking in detail the whole package.）
经验分享，
1。 能早尽量早准备，早submit。我开始写PL和RL是去年，中间断断续续许多事情打岔
，其中推荐信也等了很久。终于在今年初收集完毕，一鼓作气做好交出。
2。 扬长避短，跟大牛比，我citation不高，尤其是很多文章都是2010年以后出来的，
所以ISI给的就很低。数据库我就用了google scholar尽量采用一些策略强调 small %
；整个评估过程，其实是评价各整体，所以不必因为某项数据不太理想而过多纠结。
USCIS 没有设定具体citation 要求也是这个原因。只要有足够的客观的证据，证明你
的文章有贡献、有价值，杂志是好杂志，就没有问题。
3。是否请律师：见仁见智。我们是DIY的，事实证明没有律师，版上的资源也足够了；
4. 是否PP： 开始想等等，后来等了2周多，决定PP。事实证明PP是值得的。我们的
CASE也证实了PP和RFE没有直接联系。
