Silly question. Totally depends on ur goals. My friend got LLM from top 14 working for biglaw in HK; many jds works in Chinatown.. Also, degree is just a piece of shit; it all relies on the person behind the degree. Many harvard grads i know are just losers.. And, top millionaires donot even have college degrees. Bottom line is -- You will work as a slave if you life is all about paper chase.

Don't expect any easy answer to your question. Obviously, it depends on which T14 school, your personal background, and your goal. If you want to go back to China, I'd say a T14 LLM. Why do you need a JD to practice in China anyway? If you want to stay in the U.S., it becomes a catch-22 situation. On the one hand, generally you need to have a JD to succeed in a large law firm, but a JD from a T80-100 school will unlikely land you in a large law firm to begin with (unless you graduate top 5% of
