Silly question.
Totally depends on ur goals.
My friend got LLM from top 14 working for biglaw in HK; many jds works in
Chinatown..
Also, degree is just a piece of shit; it all relies on the person behind the
degree.
Many harvard grads i know are just losers..
And, top millionaires donot even have college degrees.
Bottom line is -- You will work as a slave if you life is all about paper
chase.

Don't expect any easy answer to your question. Obviously, it depends on
which T14 school, your personal background, and your goal.
If you want to go back to China, I'd say a T14 LLM. Why do you need a JD to
practice in China anyway?
If you want to stay in the U.S., it becomes a catch-22 situation.
On the one hand, generally you need to have a JD to succeed in a large law
firm, but a JD from a T80-100 school will unlikely land you in a large law
firm to begin with (unless you graduate top 5% of
which T14 school, your personal background, and your goal.
If you want to go back to China, I'd say a T14 LLM. Why do you need a JD to
practice in China anyway?
If you want to stay in the U.S., it becomes a catch-22 situation.

呵呵，首先T14之内就分了好几个档次，没法一概而论
其次，国内现在top14的LLM太多了，早就失去了昔日的一点光环
再次，top80的JD是太不划算了，除非你不花钱读，那还值得考虑一下
其实很多学校top20左右的LLMprogram都可以转JD，如果一定要读JD，完全可以曲线救
国

如果一心要去大所的话 有很多曲线救国的方式
1.。 去TOP14 LLM 然后转JD （高GPA 加上 高LSAT）
2. TOP14 LLM 回国 去小所 一般所 积累人脉 顺便考司法考试
然后市场好的时候直接跳到大所 因为英文上比土鳖有些许优势
3. TOP 14LLM毕业以后 运气好去中等SIZE的律所 以金融证券公司方向为主
然后找机会跳槽
4. TOP 14LLM毕业以后 运气好去国内大所 方达 君和 中论 金杜 （说运气好是因为回
去没有中国的司法考试 照样很难进别看是律所 国内LLM太多了）

背景是： LLM 在读期间 国际学生里成绩TOP1 中国人 本科出来的
LSAT 不算高分 但是也有165
她极度极度极度刻苦 每日都废寝忘食 于是我们DEAN不忍心她去 80名学校里堕落 就
破格让她转了我们学校JD～
所以 TOP 80JD 想都别想 绝对是下下之策
