I would like to import a .csv file into a SQL Server 2008R2 database table
on Win 7.
It has one column and one row.
File1:
name

I got error:
Error 0xc02020a1: Data Flow Task 1: Data conversion failed. The data
conversion for column "NAME" returned status value 4 and status text "Text
was truncated or one or more characters had no match in the target code page
.".
(SQL Server Import and Export Wizard)
I have created the destination table
CREATE TABLE my_tbl
(
[NAME] [varchar](1024) NULL
) ON [PRIMARY]
The data column width is large enough to hold the string. Why still got the
truncation error ?
But, if I used SQL query "insert into" in SQL Server Management Studio, it
worked well.
Also, in the import wizard, in colum mappings window, the source column is
NAME string [DT_STR] (50)
It should be 1024 ?
Any help would be appreciated.

一个在中国，一个是我在美国，这个专利是我在美国提交的，没有请律师。

you already find the issue.
in the wizard, you should set the width to 1024.
not only this field, but ALL fields must be E or L than org one.

欧到欧的银行宣誓和公证了，银行一般都免费。
欧看了一本书“Patent it yourself"
然后欧就自己在ＵＳＰＴＯ　网上交了欧的专利。
欧的专利有２５页，　一共花了不到１千ＵＳＤ申请。
其实自己申请专利　比请律师要快和好。
申请专利其实很简单。
不过只有　律师　和发明人才可申请。
要不然欧也可以业余帮发明人申请。
