周五是有效身份的最后一天，周五485填写，与140一起寄出 (140 cc 485 under Eb1a

package was returned by uscis's mistake, saying the prior date is not
cocurrent. I refiled everything in Jan, and the second receipt date is mid
Jan. The h1b was revoked at the end of Jan, but no paycheck was issued in
Jan. 中间有gap,请问这种485实际操作上会批准吗？

暂且假设我LSAT能拿到比较高的分吧
研究生的GPA还凑合
本科的GPA低的一塌糊涂
自脚着申请top3比较勉强
如果能搞到top8就心满意足了
不知道这个档次的学校在录取的时候更看重哪个GPA呢？

If your undergrad GPA is from a Chinese university, it does not count as
much because "overseas GPA" will not be taken into account in the school's
statistics for ranking purposes. However, from what I gather, you still need
an "above average" by LSAC evaluation if you want T14 no matter how high
your LSAT is.

FIRST BEFORE YOU CHOOSE THE SCHOOLS. Not the practice tests, not the self-
simulated ones - Take a real exam and get a real score before you consider

What forsomething said is largely true, especially the LSAT part. It takes
tremendous effort to secure a score over 170. It has no correlation with
your previous performance on GRE, but with disciplined study, you should be
able to obtain the ability to score high on the test. But here is the catch
, your ability to score high does not mean you will get the score you want
on the test day. The real test is a different beast to tame.
So before you worry about your undergraduate GPA, the most urgent and
daunting uncertainty is LSAT.
The LSAC will evaluate your GPA and give it a verbal evaluation as "poor", "
below average", "above average" or "superior" . If your evaluation is above
"above average", the law school will consider your GPA as "median" in their
incoming class, which is a safe place to be. But if it's below average, do
not let that discourage you, write an addendum to explain the difference and
a PhD would ameliorate that to certain degree.
Law school application is largely a number's game, so get your number first
on LSAT.
