Title: Senior Software Test Engineer
Location Lake Forest, CA ( Southern California )
Job Description:
Lead medical device software verification and validation activities. Develop
automated test scripts in Ruby to test UI, communications and other system
components.
Must Have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and testing
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to follow development procedures
- Ability to understand Requirements documents
- Strong Ubuntu or Linux equivalent knowledge including understanding of ssh
, scp, rsync and grep utilities
- Some understanding of at least one scripting language: Ruby, Python, Perl,
Groovy, PHP or equivalent.
- Some bash scripting knowledge
- Some understanding of at least one Database: MySql, MS SqlServer, Oracle
or equivalent
Strongly Preferred:
- Strong Ruby scripting background or at least one Ruby on Rails project
- Any Web Automated Testing using Selenium or equivalent test framework
- Any Ruby or other scripting access to MySQL databases
Preferred:
- Strong bash scripting
- Any experience with Apache Web Server or equivalent
- Any source control system familiarity using Mercurial, Subversion,
Perforce or equivalent
- Any Ruby Socket and/or Serial port communications
- Testing of UI in any language
- Familiarity with a defect tracking system using Bugzilla or equivalent
- Unit testing familiarity in any language
- Ethernet/Socket and/or Serial port communications in any language
- Experience in a Medical Device environment
